HONOLULU (KHON2) — At around 11 a.m. Saturday, Honolulu Fire and Police responded to a vehicle fire on the H-3 Freeway.
The accident is said to be eastbound prior to the Harano Tunnel.
Upon arrival, HFD said they found the car fully engulfed in flames and the driver deceased.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause, and to
provide damage estimates.
H3 Freeway eastbound to Halawa prior to Hospital Rock Tunnels has been shut down as officials investigate.
