HONOLULU (KHON2) — Forty-eight crews will battle it out as they cross the Kaiwi Channel this Sunday in Na Wahine O Ke Kai.

The race was on hiatus for four years so this is a triumphant return for women paddlers around the world.

“The top crews will be there. Not all of them have raced against each other yet this year,” Walter Guild told KHON2.

KHON2 will broadcast the race on KHII, starting at 7:30 a.m. and will stream on KHON2.com.
