Jenna Addison, daughter of former Arrington Fire Chief Gene Craft, was tragically killed as a result of a car accident on Sept. 25.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Williamson County community is mourning the loss of the daughter of a retired fire chief.

24-year-old Jenna Addison, daughter of former Arrington Fire Chief Gene Craft, was tragically killed as a result of a car accident on Sept. 25, a social media post from Arrington Fire and Rescue said.

Addison was born in Murfreesboro, graduated from Page High School and served as a receptionist at the Williamson Medical Center emergency room, according to an obituary on the Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services’ website

“Jenna Leann Addison, a loving daughter, devoted fiancée and cherished friend,” the obituary said. “Jenna treasured spending time with her friends, often enjoying the warmth of the beach and the joy of swimming. Music filled her life, providing a soundtrack to her many cherished moments spent with loved ones.”

In April 2023, Craft retired as chief of Arrington Fire and Rescue. He joined Arrington Fire in July 2000 and remained there for over two decades. He worked his way up the ranks, serving as a firefighter, engineer, lieutenant, captain, assistant chief and ultimately chief for the final eight years.

During his tenure, the department said Craft often brought Jenna along with him to the station.

“We were lucky to have gotten to watch Jenna grow up around the fire station as she was part of many fire department events and activities during her dad’s 20 years of service,” Arrington Fire and Rescue said. “Retired Chief Craft supported Arrington and Williamson County communities for over 20 years with his service to the fire department and now we have an opportunity to support his family during this tragic time.”

Addison leaves behind her 4-year-old daughter, Brynleigh Grace Trice, and her fiancé, Jacob Trice.

“Jenna’s daughter, 4-year-old Brynleigh Grace Trice was also in the accident and will now go through life with a permanent hole from the loss of her mother,” Arrington Fire and Rescue said.

With permission from the family, Arrington Fire and Rescue is asking for donations toward Brynleigh’s college fund started by Craft. If you’d like to support, write a check to “Brynleigh Grace Trice” and write “college” in the memo line. The check can be taken to Arrington Fire and Rescue – Station 19, Williamson Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Services or any US bank.
