Police are investigating after a man was found shot in the South End section of Springfield.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Police are investigating after a man was shot near an intersection in Springfield on Sunday.


Springfield Public Schools launch attendance effort

According to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, officers were sent to the area of Dwight and Morgan Streets at 12:10 a.m. for a ShotSpotter activation. When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds.

The man was taken to Baystate Medical Center where he died due to his injuries. No arrests have been made at this time.
