A man from Springfield has been arrested in connection to a sexual assault in a hot tub in Tolland, Connecticut.

TOLLAND, CT. (WWLP) – A man from Springfield has been arrested in connection to a sexual assault in a hot tub in Connecticut.

According to the Connecticut State Police, at approximately 10:53 a.m. on Monday, 42-year-old Luis Alberto Elicier was arrested in Enfield and charged with sexual assault in the first degree and unlawful restraint in the first degree.

Elicier was at a home in Tolland with three other people for a birthday celebration, when he became aggressive with the victim when the two were alone in a hot tub on the back deck.

According to NBC Boston, the arrest warrant stated that the 29-year-old victim told police that Elicier began touching her, and after she refused several times, Elicier grabbed her by the neck, forced her over, and sexually assaulted her. The victim went inside and told someone what happened. Elicier was told to leave the party and the police were then called.

He is being held on $500,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
