SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A fatal collision involving a dump truck and a car claimed the life of one person and left another injured in Scott County.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday on Stamping Ground Road near Viley Drive.
According to deputies, the dump truck veered off the right shoulder while traveling towards Stamping Ground. The driver over-corrected, crossing into the opposite lane and collided with a car.
Terry Coyle of Stamping Ground, KY, was identified as the person killed. The dump truck driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. While no charges are anticipated at this time, the investigation remains active.
