Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Efforts

Chonburi Province’s Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Command (DDPM) previously held a virtual meeting on September 15th, 2024, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The meeting focused on monitoring the flood situation and providing timely assistance. Key directives included:

– Monitoring weather conditions and risk factors such as rainfall and water levels in reservoirs and canals.
– Draining water from reservoirs and monitoring upstream water situations.
– Keeping a close watch on weather updates and disaster warnings from relevant agencies.

Security Operations Summary

The security department of Banglamung District conducted regular inspections throughout September 2024 to prevent violations related to human trafficking, drugs, and other illegal activities. The results are as follows:

1. **Entertainment Venues**: Inspected 90 venues from 18 operations, with no drug-related violations found.
2. **Pattaya Beach**: Conducted 6 inspections, with no offenders detected.
3. **Kratom Water**: Arrested 12 individuals for selling kratom water, seizing 706 bottles as evidence.
4. **Community Checkpoints**: Set up 5 checkpoints, identifying 21 drug users who were sent for treatment and 4 individuals in possession of crystal methamphetamine, who were handed over to investigators.
