A 30-year-old Pittsfield resident is in critical condition following a stabbing incident on Tuesday night, according to the Pittsfield Police Department.
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A 30-year-old Pittsfield resident is in critical condition following a stabbing incident on Tuesday night, according to the Pittsfield Police Department.
At approximately 10:18 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to a reported stabbing on Kent Avenue.
Upon arrival, investigators determined that the victim had at least one stab wound and was brought to Berkshire Medical Center with serious injuries. As of the latest update, the victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Police believe the stabbing was not a random attack, and there is no known threat to the general public. Authorities searched a residence on Kent Avenue late Wednesday morning as part of the investigation, and a person of interest has been identified.
