HONOLULU (KHON2) — Light to moderate trade winds are currently blowing due to a high-pressure system far northeast of the islands. Limited moisture is approaching from the east. No major changes are expected in the weather pattern over the next few days, with brief windward showers bringing minimal rainfall.

On Friday, trade winds will gradually lighten as the high-pressure system weakens and a low-pressure system remains to the north. These lighter winds will continue through the weekend, allowing land and sea breezes to take over in sheltered areas. Nights will likely be mostly clear on the leeward side due to land breezes, while light trade winds might bring a few showers to windward areas.
