TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office announced that a Schenectady man was arraigned on a sealed indictment on Wednesday. Da-Von Carr, 30, faces a criminally negligent homicide and an assault charge.
Carr is accused of causing 62-year-old Edward Brown’s death while living in East Greenbush at the America’s Best Value Inn on August 8. Carr allegedly punched Brown in the head before Brown was moved to the hospital and placed on life support. Brown died two days later according to the DA’s Office.
