TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Some local high school students were accepted into a local college on Thursday. Hudson Valley Community College guaranteed a spot in next fall’s freshman class to all seniors at Rensselaer High School.
Students had the chance to see the campus and learn about HVCC’s programs. One student said she could see herself at HVCC next year.
“It’s just a great institution and good financial investment for a good education and outcome,” Rensselaer High School senior Emily Carey said.
The school will set up meetings with students later in the year to go over financial aid packages and help them formally enroll.
