HONOLULU (KHON2) — A fire at the H-Power plant in Kapolei last night has not impacted operations at the facility.

The Honolulu Fire Department reported that the fire broke out shortly before 10:30 p.m.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they discovered a smoldering fire in one of the trash pits.

According to city officials, the fire was contained to the third boiler pit, and no major damage to the facility was reported.
