Two teenagers have been arrested for their connection to a deadly shooting that occurred in Old Hickory over the summer, according to authorities.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two teenagers have been arrested for their connection to a deadly shooting that occurred in Old Hickory over the summer, according to authorities.

The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said the shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. in the 300 block of Bryan Street in the Historic Old Hickory Village on July 26.

Police said multiple gunshots were fired into a duplex, wounding 17-year-old Caleb Womack who was in the living room. Womack was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center, where he died shortly after arrival.

A preliminary investigation revealed that 17-year-old arrived home a short time before shots were fired into the duplex from the roadway.

On Friday, Oct. 4, authorities announced that two teens —identified as 17-year-old Kevin Crumpler and 18-year-old John Castellano— had been arrested this week for their involvement in the shooting.

Both were charged with criminal homicide. No additional details were immediately released.
