The Celtics 2024 Larry O’Brien championship trophy is on display right now at the Basketball Hall of Fame, but only until the end of the business day tomorrow.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WWLP) – The Celtics 2024 Larry O’Brien championship trophy is on display right now at the Basketball Hall of Fame, but only until the end of the business day Saturday.

The trophy is named after Larry O’Brien, the former NBA commissioner and Springfield, Massachusetts native. O’Brien was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1991 and the trophy has been awarded annually since 1977.

“You know it is really cool because this is the actual trophy that Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis and all the guys, were awarded that night on the court so it is super authentic and of course, it goes with our whole Celtics year, right, our vault, our Boston Celtics Unlocked,” said Matt Zeysing, Vice President of Curatorial Affairs, Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

This is the 18th time the Celtics have won the NBA Championship, which is the most of any teams.

The trophy is also displayed with a game worn jersey and a champagne bottle and goggles from their locker room celebration.

Seeing the trophy and being able to get your photo taken are both included in the cost of admission.
