NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities responded to a stabbing in downtown Nashville that sent one man to an area hospital on Friday night.

Metro Dispatch confirmed that the call came in just before 8 p.m. on Friday in the 100 block of Jo Johnston Avenue. Officers on scene told News 2 that a man had been stabbed in the back while in the doorway of a residence.

He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment, though officers described his injuries as non-life-threatening. As of publication, he was stable.

Authorities on scene added that the stabbing was possibly the result of a dispute between two neighbors in an apartment complex; they were speaking with one male suspect in connection with this case.
