A weeks-long joint operation netted 20 arrests from a Northside apartment complex, including four confirmed Tren de Aragua gang members. San Antonio Police Chief Bill McManus said one of those individuals is “an enforcer” in the gang. 
McManus said the agency had received multiple complaints from the apartment complex about narcotics, human trafficking and threats made to apartment employees. Police said the arrests were for confirmed warrants or were under an order for removal from Homeland Security Investigations. 
The bust at the apartment complex is just the first, McManus said, noting this is an ongoing operation. SAPD worked with HSI, the FBI, Texas Anti-Gang Unit, Department of Public Safety and U.S. Border Control in the operation.
“We’re on to you, we’re coming for you, and we know where you are,” McManus said during the press conference. 
Two Tren de Aragua gang members were arrested in San Antonio last week during a traffic stop. The same day, DPS shared a map of statewide TdA suspected and document activity.
Suspected activity has been reported in New Braunfels, near Houston, Dallas and in far West Texas near El Paso. Documented activity has been reported in the same area in far West Texas, near the Texas-Mexico border at Piedras Negras, in far South Texas, Houston and around North Texas near Cleburne and Dallas.
