CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) — A Christian County woman was arrested after undercover investigators found she shared sexual abuse material involving children online, officials said.
According to the Kentucky State Police, 33-year-old Stephanie Renee Vickers was arrested on Oct. 3 and charged with 12 felony counts of child sexual exploitation.
KSP’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit opened an investigation after discovering a suspect who was sharing sexual content of children under 12 years old. That investigation led to Vickers, officials said.
Officers arrived at a residence in Hopkinsville on Thursday where they interviewed the suspect and seized equipment used to distribute the images.
Vickers was charged with possessing and distributing sexual abuse content of a minor under 12, and promoting sexual abuse content of a minor under 16.
The investigation remains ongoing, KSP said.
Vickers is being held in Christian County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
