NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Investigators are working to identify a man whose body was recovered from the Cumberland River Sunday.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, a father and son who were out fishing in a boat discovered the body in the Whites Creek area of the river off County Hospital Road and called 911.
“The deceased is a black man who appeared to be in his 30s to 40s,” officials said in a statement on Sunday, Oct. 6, adding that the initial examination of the body didn’t show any obvious signs of trauma.
No additional details have been released about this ongoing investigation.
