BARDSTOWN, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A significant development has emerged in the case of Crystal Rogers, a Bardstown mother who disappeared in 2015. Nelson County Judge Charles Simms has decided that the trial of three men charged in connection with her death will be held in Warren County, located approximately 100 miles south of Bardstown.

Brooks Houck, Rogers’ former boyfriend, faces charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence. Additionally, Joseph and Steve Lawson are charged with conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence.

The decision came after a hearing on Friday, where Judge Simms narrowed down the potential trial locations to Warren or Christian counties. The trial is scheduled for next year, marking a pivotal moment in the long-running investigation into Rogers’ disappearance and presumed death.
