Police arrested a Troy man on Saturday morning after an investigation found he allegedly possessed a loaded illegal firearm. Troy Police Department said Frederick L. Myers, 45, faces multiple charges.
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Police arrested a Troy man on Saturday morning after an investigation found he allegedly possessed a loaded illegal firearm. Troy Police Department said Frederick L. Myers, 45, faces multiple charges.
Troy Police said around 2 a.m., they received an anonymous tip that a man near Middleburgh Street and 5th Avenue had a handgun. While in that area, police found a man who matched the anonymous caller’s description as he got into the passenger seat of a car.
Police initiated a traffic stop on and identified the man as Myer. During the investigation, police said Myer possessed a bag of cocaine and a loaded illegal handgun. Myer was arraigned in Troy City Court and remains in Rensselaer County Jail.
