SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities in Spring Hill have arrested a wanted man following a Monday afternoon incident that occurred at a Kroger.

The Spring Hill Police Department said officers were sent to a Kroger in the 4900 block of Port Royal Road at approximately 5:20 p.m. to respond to a reported carjacking attempt.

When officers arrived, several people inside the store reportedly told them that they were traveling in a vehicle together from Columbia to take one of the occupants –identified as Knykholas Lane– to Nashville.

Police said the group pulled over into an O’Reilly’s Auto Parts near Old Port Royal Road after the vehicle started to have mechanical issues. However, Lane reportedly insisted that he be taken to Nashville regardless of the car’s condition.

According to SHPD, the vehicle was later driven to the Kroger parking lot when Lane “threatened to kill all occupants unless he was taken to Nashville.” That’s when the occupants exited and went inside the Kroger, police said.
