Halloween comes with traditions such as trick-or-treating, visiting a local haunted house, watching scary movies, and more. Although there are hundreds of different kinds of candies that are handed out on Halloween, one thing’s for sure is that there are favorites and there are candies that many people don’t like. So what is the most popular Halloween candy in Massachusetts?
According to CandyStore.com, Butterfingers is Massachusett’s favorite Halloween candy, with Sour Patch Kids coming in second, and Dubble Bubble Gum in third. This is the first time that Reese’s Cups has lost the number one spot.
According to the National Retail Federation, Halloween candy spending should hit $3.5 billion this year, which is a slight dip from last year. Halloween spending is also predicted to be over $12.2 billion this year, which is 5% down from last year.
