SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Santa Fe Police are looking for a man they believe shot another man on Monday in the 2400 block of Calle Pacifica. 

Officers arrived at the area around 4 a.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital for injuries and remains in critical condition, police said.

Investigators identified Juan Uribe-Torres, 29, of Santa Fe, as the shooter. Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Uribe-Torres for attempt to commit a felony to wit; murder, and three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Uribe-Torres is believed to be armed and dangerous, if you see him do not approach and immediately call 911, police said. He is described as being a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall weighing approximately 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said Uribe-Torres has a criminal history that includes previous arrests for breaking and entering, criminal damage, driving while intoxicated, distribution of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance, as well as warrants for failure to appear in court.

This case remains under active investigation, and as additional information becomes available it will be provided.  Case number 2024-011762.
