Happy Mart held a soft opening on Thursday, Oct. 10.

The new store sells a wide array of home essentials like dishware, glassware, kitchen knives and storage solutions.


Bottles4College holds Recycling Drive at Pearlridge Center

Customers who spend $100 during its soft opening will get a 12-piece dining set for free.

“Things for the beach when you, if you’re headed out, you get your beach towels and you get your poke at Foodland and then you’re, you’re ready to go,” said Happy Mart manager Sue Gusukuma.

“When you see ‘discount’ in Hawaii, I think we’re all interested in getting a discount on something in Hawaii right now,” said Kaimuki resident Matt Howell. “This is the perfect place.”

A grand opening celebration is planned for Saturday, Oct. 12.

Happy Mart is located at the former Walgreens space and is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
