Mogwai has launched a new single “God Gets You Back” and announced a 2025 world tour. This follows the announcement and premiere of “Mogwai: If The Stars Had A Sound”, a documentary about the band directed by longtime collaborator Antony Crook. “God Gets You Back” arrives with a video and has lyrics by Barry Burns’ daughter. “The song needed some melody or vocals, but I couldn’t come up with the lyrics so I asked my seven-year-old daughter to make some up, and she did and I sang them.” The 2025 tour takes in dates in Asia and North America, as well as a full UK/EU. Mogwai will partner with War Child for the tour, where a £1/€1/$1 charitable contribution will be made from every ticket sold. Mogwai play in Bangkok at Voice Space on March 8, 2025.
