Pattaya, October 12th – The gigantic billboard for “The Icon” beauty and health supplement group in the heart of Pattaya has been removed, following concerns and legal investigations into The Icon Group Company, a manufacturer and distributor of on-line health and beauty supplements who have been accused by hundreds of alleged victims that the company had caused them to lose substantial amounts of money.

Victims recently gathered to file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD), alleging offenses by The Icon Group. To date, more than 300 complaints have been lodged, with damages estimated at nearly 100 million baht.

CCTV footage captured at 10:28 A.M. shows officers dismantling the billboard at the Wat Chaimongkol Pattaya South Intersection in Nongprue Subdistrict, Banglamung District, Chonburi Province. By the time The Pattaya News reporters arrived, the billboard was already removed.

Mr. M, a 36-year-old massage shop employee living opposite the billboard, reported that it was gone by the time he arrived at work at 11 A.M. He noted that it was still there when he finished work at 1 A.M. the previous night. Installed for over a year, the billboard featured the face of famous actor Mr. Boy Pakorn, which Mr. M frequently observed.

A traffic report by the Pattaya City Police from 8 A.M. that morning confirmed the billboard’s presence. However, by 11 A.M., it had vanished. Locals reported that the removal team operated between 9 A.M. and 10 A.M.

Investigations continue around The Icon Group and their alleged offenses, intensifying the need for a thorough investigation by relevant Thai authorities.
