NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Union leaders for nurses and other health professionals have ratified a labor deal with UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center and released information on what the deal includes.

On Friday, United Health Professionals of New Mexico announced a tentative deal had been reached, and members would vote on it through Saturday night. On Sunday, the union released more information on the deal.


UNM sees enrollment increase for the first time in a decade

They said the deal includes job protections, the creation of a labor-management committee, and a wage increase, although they did not specify how much of an increase.

The two sides were at odds for several months but returned to the bargaining table last month. The hospital expects to release a statement by Monday.
