Mountain Road (Route 141) in Easthampton will be closed this week.
EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Mountain Road (Route 141) in Easthampton will be closed this week.
According to the Easthampton Police Department, starting on Tuesday, Mountain Road that connects Easthampton to Holyoke will be closed down for paving. The closure will be from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until Friday.
Several detours will be in place each day of the construction, such as:
Tuesday – Eastbound traffic (Easthampton to Holyoke) will be detoured via Clark Street to East Street, following the same detour used during Mountain Rd closures for inclement weather. Westbound traffic (Holyoke to Easthampton) will be detoured via Southampton Rd, County Rd, Line Rd, and Park St into Easthampton Center.
Wednesday – Eastbound traffic will follow the same detour as Tuesday: Clark St to East St to the Mountain Rd detour. Westbound traffic will follow the same detour as Tuesday: Southampton Rd, County Rd, Line Rd, and Park St into Easthampton Center.
Thursday – Eastbound traffic will continue on Clark St to East St to the Mountain Rd detour. Westbound traffic will have no detour.
Friday – Eastbound traffic will continue on Clark St to East St to the Mountain Rd detour. Westbound traffic will have no detour.
Local traffic, buses, and delivery services will still be allowed through, however, there may be some minor delays.
