COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Albany International Airport officials gave an update on the ongoing renovation project. Construction is now being divided into five different phases.
The Airport Authority Board said the first phase includes a new sensory room, a children’s play area, and a business center. That is expected to be finished by the spring.
Ticket counter upgrades will be ready by the summer while the new security checkpoints will be ready in Fall 2025. The last phase, which includes two news gates in Terminal A, is scheduled to be finished in Summer 2026.
