LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The city of Lexington is investigating another homicide after an 18-year-old died yesterday following a shooting earlier this month. According to the coroner, Juan Martinez-Bustos died yesterday at U.K. Hospital from his injuries.

Martinez-Bustos was one of two teenagers shot on October 3rd on Devonport Drive. Police crime data indicates that his death marks the city’s 15th homicide of the year. At this time last year, there were 22 reported homicides.

The second victim, a 14-year-old, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
