OWEN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — A memorial is scheduled for today at 1 p.m. for the three crew members who died in a medical helicopter crash last week in Owen County.

The memorial is for pilot Gale ‘Butch’ Alleman, paramedic James Welsh and flight nurse Bethany Aicken. Their Air-Evac Life Team Helicopter hit a cable and crashed near highway 22 east in Owenton last Monday. State police say the crew was from Grant County and they were on their way to pick up a patient when the helicopter went down.
