ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Duke City Gladiators will not be taking the field in 2025. The Indoor Football League (IFL) announced that the team is dormant for the upcoming season but will retain rights to reenter the league in 2026.

The Gladiators have historically struggled to find a longtime home. After playing its first seasons at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, the team has spent the last several years at the Rio Rancho Events Center. Over the next year, Gladiators ownership says that it will determine what is best for the organization.

While the plan is to return to the IFL in 2026, ownership plans to continue its work in the community.
