There is another chance to see the comet after sunset on Thursday and Friday.
ATHOL, Mass. (WWLP) – In Massachusetts, Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS (or Comet C/2023 A3) will be visible this Thursday and Friday evening.
22News Storm Team Meteorologist Chris Bouzakis says there is another chance to see the comet after sunset on Thursday. The sky will be clear as the sunset begins at 6:05 p.m. When it gets dark (about 15 minutes after sunset), look to the west.
The comet may be visible for about 45 minutes low on the horizon. It will appear between Venus and the bright star, Arcturus. Binoculars are ideal, but you can see it with the naked eye for now.

NASA expects it to be visible to the naked eye across the Northern Hemisphere between October 12th and 26th. With each passing day, the comet will get higher in the sky but will become dimmer.
If this comet survives, it won’t return to Earth for another 80,000 years.
