RICHMOND, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Blue Grass Chemical Activity (BGCA) has scheduled a test of the emergency sirens for Wednesday, October 23, at noon, at the Blue Grass Army Depot. This test is a precursor to a planned Chemical Incident/Mishap Response and Assistance exercise set for November 20, according to a release.

Residents and individuals near the depot area are likely to hear the sirens during both the upcoming test and the full-scale exercise, the release states. These activities are part of a series of quarterly drills conducted by the BGCA, the Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD), the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant, and others involved in the Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program.
