One song at the time, the Albuquerque 78 Spinners is paving the way for a new generation of old-time music enthusiasts.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The art of capturing music has taken unique forms over the decades, and this style is no exception.

On Saturday, the 78 Spinners of Albuquerque put on a first-of-its-kind music fest, celebrating the 78 records with hopes of also introducing ears to this lost form of records.

The “78” refers to the revolutions per minute, or how many times the record spins on the record player, and at this sale, 78s were all you could find.

The group also had sheet music, books and other musical memorabilia from the early 1900s.
