Police say no suspects are in custody at this time but that there is no reason to believe there is a risk to the community’s safety.

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) — According to the Guilderland Police Department, it responded to a music festival near 5777 Depot Road for reports of a stabbing around 1:49 on Sunday morning. Police say when they arrived they found a 23-year-old from Rome with a stab wound in the head area who was immediately treated on the scene and then moved to a local hospital.

While officers were still on the scene, they say they heard sounds consistent with gunshots in the area around 2:06 a.m. Police report finding a 21-year-old man from Brooklyn with a shoulder gunshot wound who was also treated on scene and moved to a local hospital.

Police say no suspects are in custody at this time but that there is no reason to believe there is a risk to the community’s safety. According to the police department, this is an ongoing investigation and it asks anyone with any information on either incident to contact the department’s Criminal Investigation Unit at (518) 356-1501.
