The fire started on Monday and has grown to about 25 to 40 acres in size. The Berlin Fire Department says it would probably be a two or three-day operation due to the terrain.

They also said the fire is about 400 to 500 yards from homes in the area, but since the wind is blowing in the opposite direction, no one needs to evacuate.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.
