Dry weather continues across New Mexico. Temperatures will also continue to warm, with near-record high temperatures on Thursday.

It’s been another sunny and dry day across New Mexico Tuesday. After a chilly morning, the dry air has allowed temperatures to climb quickly across the state. High temperatures are back to near and slightly warmer than normal. It will be another chilly night across the state, but with low temperatures a couple degrees warmer than today. Wednesday will be another sunny and dry day, with temperatures a couple degrees warmer.

A dip in the jet stream will bring some breezy winds across parts of New Mexico Thursday afternoon. This wind will also help to bring in even warmer temperatures Thursday afternoon. Near-record high temperatures will be possible in parts of the state, including Albuquerque. A weak cold front will move through the state Thursday night, bringing just a slight cooldown on Friday. Temperatures start climbing again this weekend, with dry weather sticking around. More near-record and record high temperatures return Sunday and Monday.

A storm system will move into New Mexico starting next Tuesday. The main impact will be some breezy to windy conditions that will develop, with only slight chances for precipitation right now.
