A man 29-year-old man was arrested after leading officers on a lengthy high speed chase through Davidson County Monday.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man 29-year-old man was arrested after leading officers on a lengthy high speed chase through Davidson County Monday.

According to court documents, detectives tried to pull over an unregistered Dodge Hellcat with racing stripes on Fesslers Lane and it sped away.

The driver — identified as Myles Owens — ran multiple red lights and drove into oncoming traffic at speeds of 100 mph down Lebanon Pike, according to Metro police.

Owens continued into Donelson where officers attempted to stop the Dodge with spike strips at Graylynn Drive. Owens reportedly evaded the strips and drove farther into Hermitage on Lebanon Pike, running more red lights and driving in the center lanes at speeds of 95 mph.

The pursuit continued into the Bonnas neighborhood of Hermitage where Owens is accused of causing another driver to drive off the road. Owens then continued onto Old Hickory Boulevard near Plantation Drive at 105 mph toward Madison.

Owens travelled down Old Hickory Boulevard for at least two miles in the center lane at a high rate of speed until he merged onto Interstate 65 South where he reportedly reached speeds of up to 150 mph.

The vehicle was tracked by a Metro helicopter to a parking garage on 11th Avenue where Owens gets into another vehicle and is driven away, according to Metro police. Officers searched the vehicle and recovered 1.4 pounds of marijuana.

Owens was identified as the driver by the Dodge’s vehicle registration. He was taken into custody Thursday on 19 charges, including reckless endangerment, evading arrest, reckless driving and felony drug possession. He was since been released from the Metro jail.
