Authorities are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a North Nashville market at gunpoint.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a North Nashville market at gunpoint.

The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said the incident took place at approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at Swett’s Market located in the 700 block of 28th Avenue North.

According MNPD’s Violent Crimes detectives, the suspect demanded money from the market’s clerk at gunpoint. The clerk reportedly complied and opened the cash register, resulting in the suspect leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police said the man is believed to be at least 6-feet 2-inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with graphics on the front, a light blue t-shirt, black jeans, a blue knit cap and tennis shoes.
