LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Two teenagers were arrested in Warren County in connection to stolen pickup truck investigation.
Around 10:40 a.m. Friday, a Warren County patrol officer saw a pickup truck that had been reported stolen out of Washington County. When attempting to stop the vehicle, the driver did not comply.
Police said the driver also tried to purposefully hit a second officer who was setting up stop-sticks in the area of Route 9 and Hubble Lane. Both right side tires of the truck were punctured, and the vehicle eventually stopped in the parking lot of Shoreline Boat Sales on Canada Street.
A 15-year old and a 17-year old were arrested.
The 15-year old was the driver, police said. They were charged with criminal possession of stolen property, attempted assault, unlawful fleeing, reckless endangerment, and multiple traffic violations. The 17-year old was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and also had a warrant out of Albany County.
The Lake George school was also placed on a brief lockdown during the morning pursuit as a precaution.
