ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — BOCES students got a firsthand look at the types of construction careers that await them after graduation. Organizers said there is a shortage of workers in the skilled trades and an aging workforce in the construction industry.
Friday’s event served as a way to highlight the programs BOCES offers to help build the workforce of tomorrow.
More than two dozen local businesses were on site to talk with students and offer heavy equipment demonstrations.
