NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An overnight shooting in Antioch left a man severely injured, sparking an investigation by Nashville authorities.

According to officials, the shooting was reported shortly before 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27 from the 4700 block of Terragon Trail.


Woman dead following shooting in Antioch, police say

The Metro Nashville Police Department told News 2 a 29-year-old man was shot outside the home and taken in a private vehicle to TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, where he is currently in “extremely critical condition.”

Another shooting was reported in Antioch just a few hours after the one on Terragon Trail. According to authorities, a woman — tentatively identified as a 35-year-old Nashvillian — was found with a gunshot wound to the chest at an apartment in the 3900 block of Apache Trail shortly after 5 a.m. She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she died.

Police have not given any indication that these two Sunday morning shootings in Antioch are related.
