ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – NEWS10 is focusing on the races for NYS Assembly and Senate as the November election nears. In the NYS Senate, Democrat Michele Frazier is challenging the republican incumbent Peter Oberacker for the 51st district.
Frazier says in addition to affordability, the people in her district have been talking about the issues of mental health and the opioid crisis. She wants to expand the 9-1-1 system to include mental health, domestic violence and substance abuse professionals.
Frazier sat down with News10’s KC Kantz to discuss the issues facing the 51st Senate district.
